University of Manitoba researchers who study aspects of life related to mosquitoes are available to speak with members of the media.

• Dr. Zhikang Peng, Pediatrics and Child Health, Immunology, researches allergic and immune reactions to mosquito venom. She can be reached at 204-789-3815 or 204-789-3813 (zpeng@ms.umanitoba.ca).

• Dr. Terry Galloway, Entomology, mostly studies ectoparasites such as lice, fleas and ticks, but he has studied mosquitoes, including aspects of basic biology and parasites.  He has also conducted research on the various insects that attack domestic animals and wildlife.  He can be reached at 204-474-6024 (terry_galloway@.umanitoba.ca).
