Visionary Conversations is a speaker series at the University of Manitoba hosted by president and vice-chancellor Dr. David T. Barnard. Some of the university’s leading minds share their insight on issues affecting our world and how the decisions we make today will shape our future.

For the next event, titled The Food We Eat, experts will talk about the safety and supply of what keeps us alive-from the local to the global perspective.

Where: Robert B. Schultz Theatre, St. John’s College, Fort Garry Campus
When: Reception in the Galleria from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm, sponsored by the Alumni Association; Panel Discussion from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, including audience questions

“This series of conversations featuring some of the best minds nurtured at the University of Manitoba builds on our tradition of excellence, innovation and global influence,” explains David Barnard, president and vice-chancellor. “The ideas generated will contribute to efforts in finding solutions to challenges faced by our province and its citizens.”

Previous Visionary Conversations included standing-room-only discussions titled: Apocalypse or Utopia?, Livable Cities, Our Aging Population. and ‘Oh, the Weather Outside is Frightful,’ Water Water, Everywhere? and Gender Equality: Fact or Fiction?
