News Release: Love Has Its Fugitives, In Opera

The University of Manitoba Opera Theatre is mounting Love’s Fugitives, a set of Opera scenes performed by 35 students.

Byung Yoon, a former pop singer and Rainbow Stage star, will perform in the show. Having now studied classical singing for many years, he can be seen in this short video explaining how pop singing differs from opera.

What:    Love’s Fugitives, by the University of Manitoba Opera Theatre;  Adults $15, students $10

When:   Friday and Saturday, January 15 and 16 at 8:00 p.m.

Where:  Gas Station Theatre; 445 River Avenue;Winnipeg, Manitoba
