The Minister of Canadian Heritage has declared Nov. 15, 2009 as National Philanthropy Day in Canada, and in Manitoba the Association of Fundraising Professionals is marking the day on Nov. 13.

National Philanthropy Day, or NPD, recognizes and pays tribute to the great contributions that philanthropy—and those people active in the philanthropic community—have made to our lives, our communities and our world.
