The Neil John Maclean Health Sciences Library is a primary resource for studing the History of Medicine at the University of Manitoba. Resources include; the Ross Mitchell Rare Book Room; the Erica and Arnold Rogers History of Medicine Room, which houses the Hollenberg History of Medicine Collection; the library's collection of journals; and the Faculty of Medicine Archives which includes an extensive biographical collection. Displays of antique medical instruments and displays from the Hannah Institute for the History of Medicine may be found in the Library.
Education
The History of Medicine is taught and studied in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Manitoba. The History of Medicine Programme is supported, in part, with funding obtained from the Hannah Institute for the History of Medicine.
Faculty from several departments in the Faculty of Medicine form an interdisciplinary group with an interest in teaching and scholarly work in the History of Medicine. Interest in the History of Medicine is active outside of the University of Manitoba in the form of the Manitoba History of Medicine Society which meets four times per year.

Each fall the library offers a History of Medicine Seminar in support of the History of Medicine Program.
