  • Canadian site  C-Health - from CANOE (Canadian Online Explorer). Includes lots of Canadian health news, lists of associations, disease database, & herbal encyclopedia.
  • Canadian site CMA.ca - look up your symptom, self diagnose, and review pointers provided to determine when you should seek professional help.
  • drkoop.com - a company led by Dr. C. Everett Koop, former U.S. Surgeon General, and others who are dedicated to improving the quality of people's lives by empowering them to improve their health.

  • HealthCentral.com - a network of information services providing consumers with highly personalized interactive tools, including custom newsletters, personalized health information pages and personalized risk assessments. HealthCentral is one of the few sites to actually feature a medical librarian.
  • HealthTouch Online for Better Health - an extensive list of specialty and disease categorized single page patient education documents derived from professional organizations.
  • Intelihealth - a media company formed as a joint venture between Aetna US Healthcare and the Johns Hopkins University Hospital and Health System.
  • Manitoba site infohealth Guide to Health Services in Manitoba - a Manitoba Health web site that provides answers to Manitoban's health care questions, lists health services available in Manitoba, and provides health care contacts.

  • NOAH: New York Online Access to Health - a unique collection of state, local and federal resources selected by editors with consumers in mind. Searchers may select from a list of Health Topics which are then narrowed to include definitions, care and treatment, and lists of information resources. Many bilingual resources.
  • Canadian siteSympatico.ca Health - from Sympatico Lycos. Includes some Canadian content.
  • Virtual Hospital - a digital health sciences library created in 1992 at the University of Iowa to help meet the information needs of health care providers and patients. Contains hundreds of books and brochures for health care providers and patients.
  • WebMDHealth - the consumer section of WebMD.com, provides information and services that are contracted from information suppliers as well as their own professional staff. While linking to other sources, they do provide some original content.
