Title: Department of Zoology fonds.

Dates: 1965-1986.

Administrative history: The Department of Zoology offered opportunities for study in the basic areas of zoology, including physiology, ecology, animal behaviour and behavioural ecology, parasitology, cell and developmental biology.  It was a department of the Faculty of Science.  In 2007, the Department merged with the Department of Botany and the Biology Teaching Program to form the Department of Biological Sciences.

Custodial history: The fonds was donated to University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections in 1992 by the Department of Zoology.

Scope and content: The fonds contains records primarily related to the planning of a new Science building and renovations and modifications to existing structures. These records include Building Committee minutes, floor plans, proposals, and descriptions of required facilities, as well as photographs and a description of the Department of Zoology facility at the University of Toronto.
