Administrative history: In 1903, Kenneth B. Stoddart was employed as a manager for R.D. Martin Company Ltd. (Montreal), grain merchants with offices at the Grain Exchange Building in Winnipeg. From 1904 to approximately 1908, he was employed with the Western Elevator Company. In 1908 or 1909, he founded Kenneth B. Stoddart, Grain Merchant, with offices at 224 Grain Exchange Building and at 124 Wellington Crescent in Winnipeg. Between 1926 and 1929, W.J.T. Kerr was Manager of K.B. Stoddart and Company Ltd., while K.B. Stoddart was President. The company operated as grain merchants and exporters until 1967.

Custodial history: The fonds was transferred to University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections from the Archives of Manitoba in December 1994.

Scope and content: The fonds consists of a scrapbook containing Bank of Montreal crop reports, newspaper clippings regarding agriculture and commodities, The Northwest Grain Dealers' Association crop estimates, Canadian Pacific Railway crop estimates, and Manitoba Free Press crop reports from July 1926 to December 1929.
