Biographical sketch: Henry Clark Grant graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Manitoba School of Agriculture in 1922. He received the Lieutenant-Governor's Gold Medal upon graduation. He continued with graduate studies at the University of Manitoba in 1922, obtaining the Hudson's Bay Company Research Fellowship for the 1922-1923 academic year. He obtained his Master of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba in 1926. Clark published later work while working with the University of Manitoba Departments of Political Economy and Home Economics, and afterwards with the Manitoba Economic Survey Board.
Custodial history: The fonds was in circulation at the University of Manitoba Libraries until 1979 when it was transferred to Archives & Special Collections.
Scope and content: The fonds consists of an unpublished report written by Grant and funded by the Hudson's Bay Research Fellowship 1922-1923. The report provides details on research into the production costs, management, and business organization of fifteen mixed and fifteen dairy farms in Manitoba. The report includes an autographed typescript letter from Premier John Bracken, Winnipeg, dated May 11, 1925.
