Title: Gladys Todd, Joy Hearst, and Ellen McIntosh fonds

Dates: 1977

Extent: 23 audio cassettes

Biographical Sketch: Gladys Todd, Joy Hearst, and Ellen McIntosh organized the Frederick Philip Grove Colloquium to discuss the life and works of Frederick Philip Grove (1879-1948). The Frederick Philip Grove Colloquium was held at the Lynnwood Arts Centre in Simcoe, Ontario on November 4-5, and November 18-19, 1977.

Custodial History: In 1980, fifteen cassettes were obtained from Ellen McIntosh on behalf of the Lynnwood Arts Centre. Eight cassettes were donated by Mary Rubio. The fonds was originally titled "Frederick Philip Grove Colloquium", but was changed in March 2002 to reflect the provenance of the fonds.

Scope and Content: The fonds consists of two sets of cassettes documenting the colloquium. The cassettes include addresses by Rudy Wiebe, Stanley McMullin, Louis Dudek, Lorraine McMullen, Jack McClelland, Henry Makow, Margaret Stobie, Wally Anderson, Leonard Grove, D.O. Spettigue, and others.
