Title: Bill Lobchuk fonds

Biographical Sketch: William (Bill) Lobchuk was
born in Neepawa, Manitoba and is a very accomplished artist. He
received his Diploma of Art at the University of Manitoba and has
played an active role in the arts community for over 30 years. He
has received several awards and has been commissioned by numerous
organizations. Mr. Lobchuk has had his artwork displayed in exhibitions
since 1970 at many venues in Canada such as the Winnipeg Art Gallery,
Burnaby Art Gallery in Burnaby, British Columbia, the Susan Whitney
Gallery in Regina, Saskatchewan as well as internationally in Yugoslavia,
Japan, and Holland. Mr. Lobchuk’s artwork can be found in
personal and corporate collections throughout Canada and the world.
Custodial History: The fonds was donated to Archives
& Special Collections in 2004 by Bill Lobchuk.
Scope and Content: The fonds consists of photographs,
negatives, and glass slides of various Ukrainian-Canadian families
taken at the early part of the twentieth century. One of the photographs
is of the Manitoba College Class of 1915 (although in damaged condition).
Restrictions: There are no restrictions on the
use of this fonds.

exist for this fonds.
