Title: William Wightman fonds

Dates: 1987

Extent: 2 cm of textual records

Biographical Sketch: William "Bill" Wightman was mayor of Emerson, Manitoba from 1984-1986. He is married to Judy Easter.

Custodial History: The material was donated to Archives & Special Collections in 1996 by Ruth Phillips.

Scope and Content: The fonds consists of a photocopy of a book called "Emerson the Gateway City to the West 1880-1890", published in 1987 and written by William Wightman. It details the history and citizens of Emerson, Manitoba, with birth, death and marriage information.
