Title: Garth Taylor fonds

Extent: 1 cm of textual records

Biographical Sketch: Garth Taylor was born and raised on the family farm at Oak Lake, Manitoba. He began his career as a field reporter in Kingston, Ontario, then went on to the Winnipeg Free Press, and then to CBC Winnipeg. At CBC, he worked as reporter, producer and director for "Country Canada", "Points West", and "Country Calendar." Mr. Taylor died December 11, 2002 at the age of 80.

Custodial History: The fonds was donated to the University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections by Garth Taylor in 1993.

Scope and Content: The fonds consists of copies of two articles written by Garth Taylor entitled "Farm Broadcasting" and "Farm Press."
