Title: Naomi Hersom fonds

Dates: 1989

Extent: 0.5 cm of textual records

Biographical Sketch: Naomi Hersom was born and raised in Winnipeg, a graduate of the University of Manitoba, and began her teaching career in Winnipeg. In 1989, at the time of the convocation, she was president of Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, NS. She was awarded an honourary degree from the University of Manitoba for her contributions in the profession of teaching. She delivered a speech at the 1989, 110th Convocation Ceremonies entitled "The Paradox and the Privilege of Being a Professional."

Custodial History: The material was donated to the Archives & Special Collections in 1989 by Dr. Naomi Hersom via Bob Raeburn.

Scope and Content: The fonds consists of the speech entitled "The Paradox and Privilege of Being a Professional."
