Biographical Sketch: Evelyn Gilmore was married to Percy Gilmore. During the years of 1945 - 1947, Percy was employed as a mine accountant in a remote area of Northern Manitoba near Herb Lake. Evelyn and Percy moved back to the city when the mine closed down.

Custodial History: The fonds was donated to the Archives & Special Collections in 1989 by Olive Hammer.

Scope and Content: The fonds consists of unpublished memoirs of Evelyn Gilmore's experiences in Northern Manitoba, written by Evelyn Gilmore.
