Biographical Sketch: William Joseph Simms was
the grandfather of Joe Pearn.
Custodial History: Joe Pearn donated the photographs
to the Archives in 2004. They were received interleaved with paper
towels.
Scope and Content: The fonds consists of negatives
taken by Joseph Simms. The glass plate negatives depict the Administration
building under construction, at least two points near its completion,
and featuring two work crews. Each of three pairs of these negatives
has been taken within a few moments of each other.
Physical Condition: All negatives show some silvering
out. One glass plate negative has flaking emulsion.
