Canadian Officers Training Corps (COTC)

The COTC was part of most male students' military experience. The University of Manitoba COTC was established March 1, 1915 in response to World War I. Although interest declined in the interwar period, the COTC continued to train university students for military service. With the outbreak of World War II, the COTC once again prospered.
