Libraries

Digital Collections
The University of Manitoba Libraries provides access to a large number of electronic resources and is working to digitize many of its physical resources to be accessible remotely.  The following electronic resources are available to students, faculty, staff, and the general public.

Architecture and Fine Arts Library

The Winnipeg Building Index is an ongoing project which identifies sources of information on Winnipeg's rich and varied architecture. The sources may include monographs, journal articles, ephemera, plans, elevations, and images.  The images and descriptions are browseable by building name, street, date, and architect.

Archives & Special Collections

Archives & Special Collections has digitized tens of thousands of items from the many collections in its holdings.  The Archives' digital collections range in scope from the entirety of certain collections, to portions of others, to thematic exhibitions featuring digitized samples of several collections.

E-Reserves

The E-Reserves system allows faculty and staff to post reserve materials online.  Documents can be read online or printed from any on-campus or remote location using a system supporting Adobe Acrobat. Users are able to search for the desired reserve material via a number of fields including course number, course name, section number, department, instructor, and title or author.

MSpace

MSpace is the University of Manitoba's institutional repository, dedicated to collecting, storing, preserving and making accessible digital versions of the intellectual output of UM community members.  Users can access electronic theses and dissertations, learning objects, and research publications through MSpace.

Your right to reproduce or redistribute electronic resources (in electronic or print format) is limited.  Please consult the UM Copyright Guidelines and the online "Terms and Conditions" which publishers now incorporate into most electronic resources.  If you require assistance with obtaining copyright permission to reproduce or redistribute electronic resources, see How to Obtain Permission.
