The MIM is involved in a number of educational programs from high school outreach to promoting research through the Manitoba Materials Conference.


MIM also facilitates CHEM 4820/ECE 4860/GEOL 4280/ GEOL 7790 Materials Characterizations and Instrumental Techniques, annually during the winter term. This class gives students the chance to have hands-on laboratories with the following instrumentation:
