Gene Targeting

In addition to high-throughput gene trapping, one of NorCOMM's major goals is to specifically target approximately 2000 genes. To ensure maximum coverage of the mouse genome and to minimize redundancy of effort, NorCOMM is working closely with EUCOMM and KOMP to develop the list of genes that NorCOMM will target. As an important part of this process NorCOMM is inviting input from the Canadian scientific community on which genes would have the greatest impact if a knockout mouse ES cell line were readily available. NorCOMM has established an online Gene Submission Form in which your lab or company can request your genes of interest; the information you provide will become part of the NorCOMM gene targeting prioritization process.
