| The
Mathematical Biology Team consists of individuals who are interested
in the mathematical modelling of biological phenomena and processes.
The primary focus of the current research is on the development
of models for the spread of infectious diseases, such as AIDS
and SARS, and on increasing understanding of the mechanisms
that affect the efficacy of different treatments. However, other
topics in the mathematical biology area are also of interest,
and anyone with an interest in using mathematical or statistical
approaches to develop deterministic or stochastic models for
biological processes is welcome to join the team. Present members
consist of faculty members, graduate students and research associates
at the University of Manitoba, as well as industrial affiliates
from the health area. |
