Spatial Coherence in Ecological Systems

Connell McCluskey, McMaster University

Abstract

A model will be developed for the interaction of several species at different locations or patches, and will include movement between the patches. If the behaviour in each of the patches is synchonized, then the system is called coherent, with the coherent manifold being the set of all coherent solutions. We will study the stability of the coherent manifold and consider specific examples.
