Network Theory in Epidemiology: An Overview of Recent Developments

I shall discuss the use of network models in epidemiology, drawing upon the recent body of work that has studied the structure of complex networks (such as small-world and scale-free networks). Various epidemiological settings will be discussed, including acute infections and sexually transmitted infections.
