| The
main objective of the conference is the design of robust methodologies
for modeling the in-host dynamics and epidemiology of some emerging
and re-emerging diseases of public health interest such as Cancer,
HIV, Influenza, SARS and Tuberculosis. The conference will focus
on the following general themes:
(1) Reviews of various mathematical modeling paradigms (such as
deterministic, discrete, stochastic, network and spatial modeling);
(2)
Modeling vaccination strategies against vaccine-preventable diseases;
(3)
Modeling therapeutic strategies;
(4)
Using modeling in public health policy;
(5)
Mathematical, computational and statistical challenges in modeling
disease dynamics. |
