Larry Morrissette was an Inner City Social Work Program Teacher, Wisdom Keeper, Mentor, Friend and Community Uncle.

He inspired others with his humility and quiet strength. He worked to promote positive change in the Indigenous community and challenge the status quo. He was a Warrior for his community and worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for Indigenous families to heal and reach their potential. He led with a sense of humour and warm smile and a genuine caring for all people.

At the ICSWP, Larry was an educator who inspired both students and staff to be the best they could be. Larry was well loved at the ICSWP and will be forever missed for his gentle spirit and mischievous laugh. His memory will continue to inspire the best in us. In that light, the ICSWP is working to create the Larry Morrissette Bursary to continue the legacy of his work and support students who are attending the Inner City Social Work Program. We would like to invite everyone to join us in realizing this goal.
