Need Help in Computer Science?

Your Instructors:

  • These are the people making the notes, teaching the course, setting the exam and marking your answers.  Outside of notes, lectures and textbooks these people are your most valuable source of information regarding what they teach.  Don’t hesitate to ask your prof!  Make use of their office hours.

The Computer Science Help Centre:

  • The Computer Science Help Centre is open 20 hours per week to help you with questions about course content or assignments in first and second-year courses.  You will find it in E2-422A.

Information about Tutoring:

  • Be careful when working with a tutor or tutoring agency.  Be sure you know what the rules are regarding plagiarism and cheating so your tutor doesn’t do too much of the work for you.
  • If you aren’t sure whether or not you can do something (e.g. work together on an assignment, get code from a webpage….) ASK!  Your instructor will let you know what is and is not permitted.
