About the Friends
Founded in 1992, the Friends of the Field Station (FOFS) is an
organization of persons interested in the objectives, programs and future
of the Delta Marsh Field Station (University of Manitoba). Its purposes
are to provide support to the Field Station, and to protect and maintain
its environment and facilities. This support includes but is not limited
to:
-
the provision of scholarships to enable worthy students to attend
courses at the Field Station
-
the purchase of library books, research and teaching equipment
-
and the construction and improvement of teaching,
accommodation and research facilities at the Field Station
Friends of the Field Station meet 2-4 times a year for member events and
the Annual General Meeting. These often occur at the Field Station,
providing members with opportunities to enjoy the facilities and the
environment they support.
The Friends of the Field Station invite you to join them. Membership is
extended to any interested persons, families, or organizations. Tax
receiptable donations in any amount are also gratefully accepted. Please
contact the Friends at the address below.
