Notes

The image with the earlier date has been subtracted from the image with the later date so that only the changes appear.
Field of view approx. 1.5 arcminutes. R Mon is at the bottom (south).
The time delay between the frames is proportional to the number of days between the exposures.
Star images do not subtract exactly due to the star's variability and differences in seeing, focus and tracking each night. The nebula is not affected in the same way because it is a diffuse light source, not a point source.
