Hubble's Variable Nebula

An apology is due to the Lowell Observatory for the low quality of their images presented here. They are literally 5th generation images (original plates to 35mm film to 16mm film to video tape to .jpg images) and much of the original detail has been lost. However, they are sufficient for showing the broad changes that occur as well as the repeated appearance of persistent structures.
