The Faculty of Science Strategic Plan is a comprehensive document which is intended to guide the evolution and development of the Faculty over the next five years. It includes a Strategic Research Plan which is a central part of the overall Plan, but which is written in a manner that allows it to be considered and referenced as a "stand alone" document when convenient.
The Plan was developed over an extended period of time which included numerous drafts, two Town Hall meetings, and other discussions. It was ultimately endorsed by a Faculty-wide vote, with 67 votes cast in favour, and four opposed.
The Plan will be implemented and updated through the annual process described in Section III.15.
