May
31 - Bison Football would like to announce that former Bison Ryan
Henderson has signed with the B.C. Lions of the Canadian Football
League.
The
6'3" 265-lb defensive tackle did not play football last year after
spending five years with the Herd from 1995-96 to 2000-2001, but
he has been training hard over the past year to stay in football
shape. His hard work and patience paid off as the Lions signed him
to a free-agent contract today and will have him in camp starting
this Saturday.
A
CIS All-Canadian in 1999-2000, Henderson's signing with the Lions
brings the total number of former and current Bisons in CFL camps
this weekend to 14. These
14 players will join another 8 former Bisons who have already made
their mark in the CFL over the past number of years.
