June
6 - Bison Men's Hockey Coach Mike Sirant is pleased to announce
that Jordan Little has committed to the program for the upcoming
season.
Little,
who played junior with the Winkler Flyers had an outstanding campaign
in 2001-02, finishing the season with 11 goals and 21 assists for
32 points as well as leading his team in penalty minutes with 194.
His stellar all-around play earned the 20 year old the nod as the
runner-up for the league's best defenceman award, as well as an
MJHL first team All-Star award.
The
6'4" 200-lb rearguard served as an assistant captain for the Flyers
in '01-'02 and helped lead them to an Addison Division Championship
and a place in the MJHL final against the OCN Blizzard. In addition,
he also captained the MJHL's entry in the Viking Cup that took place
last December.
Sirant
is very pleased with Little's decision to come to Manitoba noting
that any time a program can get one of the best defenceman from
any league it is a huge bonus. The Bison Head Coach really likes
Little's energy and passion on the ice as well as his combination
of strong, physical play and ability to move the puck quickly and
efficiently. Bison fans can expect big things from Little beginning
this season.
