July 30 - Bison Sports would like to congratulate Josh Klassen who helped Team Canada win Gold at the NORCECA Junior Men's Continental Volleyball Championship tournament in Kelowna, BC.

Klassen, a member of the Canada West and CIS All-Rookie teams this past season, didn't miss a beat after finishing the CIS season with a Bronze medal in Alberta. He starred in the final match with 6 kills, 2 aces, 2 digs and 12 service receptions.

Team Canada defeated Puerto Rico 3-0 (25 - 13, 25 - 23, 25 - 18) for the Gold medal, avenging their only loss of the tournament earlier in the round robin. Also competing at the tournament were Mexico and the U.S.A.

12 of the 15 members of Team Canada were from the Western provinces and featured up and coming CIS stars in Mark Dodds from the University of Saskatchewan and Leo Carroll from the University of Alberta.

The victory earns Klassen and his Team Canada mates a berth in the 2003 World Championships.
