5 - Bison Sports is pleased to announce that Men's Hockey Coach
Mike Sirant achieved a milestone in last weekend's 4-2 victory over
the Calgary Dinosaurs, winning his 200th career game as the Bisons'
head man.
Sirant,
now in his 10th season is 200-157-35 (.555) in 392 career games
overall since being named Manitoba's head coach in 1992-93. In Canada
West regular season play he has amassed a record of 134-101-31 in
266 games and during that span, he has taken the Herd to two conference
finals in 1994-95 and 2000-01 with his teams making the play-offs
every year since 1994-95.
The
Bisons' bench boss also coached the FISU games team to a bronze
medal in South Korea in 1997 and is the third active coach in Canada
West to achieve the 200 win mark for a career joining Alberta's
Rob Daum and Saskatchewan's Dave Adolph.
