My research program is primarily focused on the cardiovascular health and illness trajectory.
My interest in the cardiovascular health and illness trajectory has resulted in exciting collaborations with colleagues in a broad range of disciplines. Although my interest and expertise is primarily in quantitative methods, more recently, I have been drawn to mixed methods research. Overall, the primary goal of my research is to develop strategies to optimize patient outcomes and nursing job satisfaction! To this end, I am currently involved in a number of collaborative projects, the most exiting of which is the Strategies to Enhance Participation in Cardiac Rehabilitation for Women (STEP) Project. In my current role as the Associate Dean, Graduate Programs, I regretfully do not have the opportunity to teach in the classroom; however, I continue to supervise graduate students with research interests in the areas listed below.
