Principal Tuba, Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra
Chris Lee has been Principal Tuba of the Winnipeg Symphony since 2003. Before moving to Winnipeg, Chris played Principal Tuba in Orquesta Sinfonica de Galicia in La Coruna, Spain and was Professor of Tuba at the School of Music (ESMAE) of the Porto Polythecnic in Portugal for 2 years. Chris graduated from Indiana University with a Master of Music and from McGill University with a Bachelors degree in Music Performance with High Distinction. Chris has also performed with Indianapolis Symphony, National Repertory Orchestra, National Orchestral Institute Symphony, Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, Verbier Festival Youth Orchestra and Montreal Symphony. Chris is currently the Instructor of Tuba at the University of Manitoba.
