The financial support offered by the Desautels Faculty of Music is among the most generous in Canada. Qualifying undergraduate and graduate students receive scholarships and bursaries enabling them to devote more time to their studies and artistic development. Currently, over 60% of our students hold Faculty of Music and/or University scholarships and bursaries. In addition to the many scholarships listed below, numerous renewable, annual, and one-time awards are available through the Desautels Endowment.
Our graduate students may also qualify for the University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship or other awards through the Faculty.

Over 60% of our students hold major Faculty and University of Manitoba scholarships, and with a growing endowment fund this number will continue to rise.
In fall 2013, Desautels Scholarships in the amount of $289,000 were awarded to 170 students. To date, a total of $790,000 in scholarship money has been awarded to Music students from the Desautels Endowment.
The Faculty of Music greatly appreciates all donations, and acknowledges donors on our website unless anonymity is requested. Since 2009, undergraduate and graduate students at the Desautels Faculty of Music have received approximately $1.5 million in scholarship, fellowship, and bursary awards.
Fund donations may be made through Development & Advancement Services and directed to a specific bursary or scholarship of your choice.
