Music Lessons with the Division of Preparatory Studies

The Division of Preparatory Studies is pleased to offer a variety of instruction, both private and group!

Private music instruction in the following instruments:

Piano Organ Harp
Acoustic Guitar Electric Guitar Percussion
Voice Violin Trumpet
Flute Cello French horn
Piccolo Bass Oboe
Clarinet Viola Saxophone

Group AND individual instruction is also available in all theoretical subjects, pedagogy, and composition.

We also offer instruction in Jazz, East Indian and Brazilian music.

For those new to our Division, Program Director Mary Hawn and Program Assistant Jenn Shaw are happy to speak to you in person (or via phone or email) about your musical interests and goals, and assist in placing you with a teacher who will turn those goals into reality. Students of all ages and stages are welcome! All of our teachers are highly qualified with performance and pedagogical experience. Lessons are available on the University of Manitoba campus as well as throughout the city.
