Baby and Toddler classes offer an opportunity young children and a caregiver to explore the elements of music through a variety of playful singing and movement activities.
Instructor Courtney Richter, B. Mus, B. Ed (2012) brings her considerable vocal and instrumental expertise with several years of early childhood education to these classes, which will set young children on the right path for the musical journey of a lifetime.
Instructor Gwen Allison, B. Mus, ARCT, Orff Cert. has a wealth of experience as an early music educator, and has developed and taught many successful programs. Her teaching inspires both joy and skill.
Music for Children (Orff)
A comprehensive approach to music education embracing all facets of creative music education.
Instructor Jewel Casselman, M. Ed, is a longtime instructor with the Marcel A. Desautels Faculty of Music Orff Certification Program. Her vibrant classes are well-established favorites!
World Music for Children
At any time of day, someone around the world is singing! In our World Music for Children classes, the diversity of our multicultural society is explored through songs from a wide range of origins, along with an exploration of rhythm, movement, and percussion instruments.
The Children's Chorus for ages 5 & 6 is designed to build foundational skills in a fun interactive learning environment. Repertoire includes folk-based material and other music appropriate for beginning singers. Choristers have an opportunity to perform regularly throughout the 30-week program. No past musical experience is necessary. Instructor: Tiffany Prochera.
