The University of Manitoba Concert Band

The University of Manitoba Concert Band is a 60-piece ensemble that performs a wide variety of wind band repertoire. The Concert Band presents four concerts a year (usually in tandem with the Wind Ensemble).  Founded by Connie Turner, the Concert Band is presently conducted by Jacquie Dawson, and includes a mix of students from the Desautels Faculty of Music, other university students, community members and select grade 12 students.

Who is eligible:

Any university age or community member is welcome to audition, players do not need to attend the U of M.
*The fee for non-music students is $60 for the year.

Rehearsals:            Tuesdays 7:00 - 9:30 pm

Featuring Dr. Edmund Dawe, piano

All performances take place at Jubilee Place Auditorium, 173 Talbot Ave

Tickets are available in advance at the music office or at the door.
