The University of Manitoba has migrated its email services to Microsoft Office 365, which will offer students many benefits.
As a result of the migration, some students may encounter issues with their UM email accounts. Below are some tips for troubleshooting.
If you are having problems with a locked out or disabled email account, please reset your password in SignUM:
Go to umanitoba.ca/signUM and sign in with your UMnet ID and current password. You will be prompted for any required actions. If you don’t remember your password, choose "forgot password." After you reset your password, it may take up to an hour to enable your account.
- Mac Mail: You may need to delete your current account (UofM Exchange account) from the Mail program and re-add it. This will point you to the correct Microsoft 365 server.
- Outlook: You may be able to change the server by following the steps in this PDF.
- Install the latest versions of Microsoft applications: Download from the Apple Store
Go to http://365.myumanitoba.ca/ to sign in to your email on the web.
