Conference Poster Presentations

The conference will feature a poster session that allows participants to present a poster on their research
that addresses the conference goals. Presenters will be asked to be available at their posters at a designated time during the conference to answer questions. Posters may include photographs, statistical tables, figures, charts or other graphic material relevant to the project. The abstract should address: purpose of the study, methods or approach, findings and discussion.Abstracts should fall into one of the following categories:
- Research using administrative databases focusing on population health, the determinants of health or health policy.
- Data linkage projects relevant to population health, epidemiology and health services research.
- Knowledge translation activities relevant to health and the determinants of health.
- All abstracts will be peer-reviewed.
- Deadline for abstract submission is October 23, 2009. Authors will be notified by November 15 as to the status of their submission.
- All abstracts must be submitted electronically by completing the online submission form below.
- Once completed, you will receive an e-mail confirming that your submission was successfully received.
- Keep a copy of your online abstract submission for your records.
- If you are unable to submit your abstract online or if you did not receive an e-mail confirmation of your submission, contact the Conference Coordinator (Carole_Ouelette@cpe.umanitoba.ca).
- Abstracts must be submitted in English
- Use short, specific titles and standard abbreviations.
- Submission must not exceed 250 words.
- The abstract document MUST NOT contain its title or the names of any of the authors.
- The abstract document MUST BE in MSWORD.DOC format.
- Each individual may submit one abstract as Presenting Author. As a supplementary author, a person can be included on a maximum of two (2) additional submissions.
- Submission of an abstract implies the submitter’s agreement to register for the conference, pay the appropriate conference registration fee, and make this presentation as scheduled.
