Ophthalmology
Goals and Objectives: The student should learn:

to be familiar with basic ophthalmology
- become more comfortable at examinations of the eyes, in particular looking at the fundus.
- become exposed to multiple aspects of ophthalmology for potential career planning.
Content:
-
multiple office visits.
- sessions in the ophthalmology operating room.
- sessions with ophthalmic technicians observing basic standardized tests.
- possible visits to the CNIB.
Call Responsibility: None required
Availability: Throughout the year with limit to only one elective student at any given time. Duration of the elective is 1 to 2 weeks.
