INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL GRADUATE ASSESSMENT FOR CONDITIONAL LICENSURE (IMGACL)

  • IMGACL application package must be received by the University of Manitoba, IMG Program by this deadline date 

May 15, 2013

  • All applicants must register with the Physician Resource Coordination Office (PRCO)
  • Shortlisted applicants (ONLY) must submit an application for "Conditional Registration" to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba (CPSM).  You will be notified by the IMG Program office if you have been shortlisted.

August 15, 2013

  • IMGACL applicants must have been approved for conditional registration with the CPSM by this date

Late September, 2013

  • CAPE Assessment

Late October, 2013

  • CAPE Assessment results sent to IMG Program

End October, 2013

  • A select number of applicants are invited to an interview

November, 2013

  • Applicant Interviews

Late November, 2013

  • Applicants are advised of acceptance into the IMGACL

December, 2013

  • "Meet & Greet" with regional employers to secure sponsorship for accepted candidates, organized by Manitoba Health (MH)

January 6 - 31, 2014

  • Mandatory IMG Program Orientation

February 10, 2014

  • Clinical Assessment Begins

 

MEDICAL LICENSURE PROGRAM FOR INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL GRADUATES (MLPIMG)

May 1, 2013

  • MLPIMG application package (including NAC OSCE result) must be received by the University of Manitoba, IMG Program by this deadline date 
NOTICE: “Evidence of Preregistration - Physician Training” must be received by the
Physician Credentials Registry of Canada (PCRC) by this deadline.  This process can
take time, please ensure evidence is sent to the PCRC as soon as possible.  It is the  
applicant's responsibility to ensure that all required documents are received by
the deadline.  The CPSM will review preregistration training documentation
which has been source verified by the Physician Credentials Registry of Canada
(PCRC).  It should be noted that PCRC source verification does not mean  
that the training is approved by the CPSM, only that the College is prepared  
to review the content of the document(s) which was submitted to PCRC.

May 15, 2013

  • Final deadline for submitting NAC OSCE results to the IMG Program office, for those candidates that have taken the exam in March, 2013 only
  • A select number of applicants names are sent to the CPSM for a review of their postgraduate training.  

October 1, 2013

  • “Evidence of Preregistration - Physician Training” must be approved by the CPSM for applicants to the MLPIMG

October 9, 2013

  • A select number of applicants are invited for an interview

November, 2013

  • Applicant Interviews

Late November, 2013

  • Applicants are advised of their acceptance into the MLPIMG

December, 2013
