Although not part of this section of the database, the school’s medical students should undertake an independent analysis of the educational program, student services, and the learning environment. The analysis should follow the guidelines described in the LCME publication “The Role of Students in the Accreditation of Medical Education Programs in the U.S. and Canada,” available on the LCME Web site (www.lcme.org/pubs.htm). A narrative summary of the medical student analysis (prepared by the students themselves), the tabulation of the numerical results of the student survey, and the medical school’s most recent results from the AAMC Medical School Graduation Questionnaire or the AAMC-AFMC Medical School Canadian Graduation Questionnaire (including the narrative comments) should be bound in the blue binder that forms part of the overall accreditation database.
