As Assistant Dean, Faculty Development, Dr. Heather Dean is responsible for overseeing the processes in the Faculty of Medicine to support faculty in achieving their academic goals and dreams. She meets with each new full-time faculty member to welcome them to the Faculty, to identify any gaps in their orientation to the academic appointment, to identify resources to fill these gaps, and to describe the academic dossier and University appointment process. The department heads are responsible for orientation to clinical or laboratory responsibilities for all new faculty.
