Executives in Residence at the Asper School of Business provide students, faculty and members of the community with access to successful individuals who have proven track records in public and private business undertakings. Asper Executives are fully engaged in the business of the School making public presentations, giving lectures to students, and being available to faculty and students alike for consultation.



 

Charlie Curtis, OM, is the School's founding Executive in Residence having been named to the position in 1996. He has a wealth of public sector experience, including two decades as Deputy Minister of Finance for the Province of Manitoba (from 1976 to 1996). Mr. Curtis is a chartered accountant by profession.



Ken Cooper was named the Stu Clark Centre’s Entrepreneur in Residence in Spring 2008. His investment and management experience spans over 35 years with extensive experience as a lender and investor, as well as in the development of business strategy, long-term planning and board leadership. As chief executive of the Winnipeg Stock Exchange, he worked with business owners, securities dealers and government to facilitate access to capital for new and emerging businesses. Mr. Cooper is a professional engineer with a civil engineering degree from the University of Manitoba and a master’s degree in business administration from Ivey.
