Description: The Asper International Student Exchange Program has offered financial support to students taking part in the program since the Program’s inception. These awards are not guaranteed to each outgoing student and are dependent on the available annual income from the funds.

Description: According to the EDC Website, there are 30 scholarships annually, 25 of which go to undergraduate university students interested in pursuing a career or furthering their studies in international business, with up to 5 additional scholarships for students enrolled in combined studies in business with sustainable management or environmental studies.

Hong Kong-Canada Business Association Exchange Scholarship

Description: The Hong Kong-Canada Business Association has established an endowment fund to assist students in the Asper School who wish to achieve a working knowledge of international business relations in Hong Kong by experiencing the culture first hand.

International Centre for Students Exchange Awards

Description:

  • Registered in any faculty of school at the University of Manitoba except University 1 and the Faculty of Graduate Studies;
  • Normally will have completed at least 30 credit hours of study at the University of Manitoba;
  • Have been accepted into the ICS Student Exchange Program or another exchange program approved by the selection committee;
  • Will be registered full-time at a host institution outside of Canada for the duration of their exchange in the academic session in which the award is tenable;
  • Have obtained, or will be obtaining, an approved Letter of Permission for the courses to be completed while on exchange to demonstrate that the courses will be credited toward their degree program;
  • Have demonstrated that they require financial assistance in order to participate in the ICS Student Exchange Program or approved exchange program.

Robin Charles Ringland Memorial Scholarship

Application Form: Application forms are sent out by the Exchange Coordinator each year to students who have completed their study abroad experiences during the current academic term of study

Description:  The family and friends of Robin Charles Ringland have offered to provide an endowment to fund an annual scholarship to a student who had completed at least two years of study at the Asper School of Business at the undergraduate level. Selection of the recipient is based on the academic merit and with a particular reference to international business at a university outside of Canada.

Rod MacKenzie International Student Exchange Program Travel Award

Description:  
The Rod MacKenzie International Student Exchange Program Travel Award has been established in memory of Roderick Andrew MacKenzie, who was a student in the Asper School of Business when he suddenly passed away shortly before his graduation in 2002. During his program of studies, Rod MacKenzie’s international travel experience added immensely to his learning and personal development. His family and friends wish to sponsor an award that encourages business students to engage in learning experiences beyond the classroom, particularly those of an international nature.
