International Student Exchange Program

The Asper School of Business has established an International Student Exchange Partners with 30 partner schools in 15 different countries. Participating students study and live abroad for one or two terms and receive full credit for the courses they take at our partner institutions. Similarly, international students from our partner schools attend classes in the Asper School of Business and experience living and studying in a Canadian environment. The program enriches the educational experience not only of the participants but the whole student body as well since it exposes students to different cultures, new ideas, and alternative teaching methods.

Aboriginal Business Education Partners

In 1994 the Asper School of Business established the Aboriginal Business Education Partners (ABEP) to create a holistic and supportive environment for aboriginal students seeking a B.Comm.(Hons.) degree. The program was and continues to be the only one of its kind in Canada. ABEP offers many and varied supports including (but not limited to) orientation sessions, alumni, student and corporate mentors, corporate sumer internships, individual and group tutoring, scholarships and bursaries and personal and academic advisers to help aboriginal students learn about and succeed to urban, university and academic life.

Joint Programs with Manitoba Colleges
The Asper School of Business has established Joint Programs with four Manitoba Colleges: Assiniboine Community College, Ecole technique et professionnelle, University College of the North, and Red River College. Graduates of the Business Administration Diploma (University Stream) from these colleges who have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 are eligible to apply to the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Program. Successful applicants receive block transfer credit for their course work at the college and are required to complete additional specified course work at the University of Manitoba in order to receive the B.Comm.(Hons.) Degree.

International Joint Program with International College of Ningbo University
In 2007, the Asper School of Business established the International Joint Program with the International College of Ningbo University in the People’s Republic of China. Graduates of the dual degree program (2+2 program) in China enter Year 3 of the 4 year degree program in the Asper School of Business. Upon successful completion of the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree requirements, they will be awarded both the Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the International College of Ningbo University and the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the Asper School of Business.

All Joint Ningbo/Asper students will pay fees based on the current International student fee structure. For more details on fees, please refer to fee information at Registrar’s Office website.

International Twinning Program with University College Sedaya International (UCSI)
