Financial Aid and Awards

All new Asper MBA students who apply for admission by the application deadline and are admitted are automatically considered for MBA entrance scholarships (separate scholarship applications are not required). Scholarships range in value from $1,200 to $10,000 each. Selection is based primarily on competitive entrance GPAs. However, GMAT scores may be taken into account for certain awards.

Other University awards may require an application - visit the Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS) website to learn more. Note - MBA students are not eligible to apply for the UMGF fellowship program.

International students

who are admitted with an admission GPA of 3.5+ will automatically receive the International Graduate Student Entrance Scholarship from FGS, valued at approximately $5,400 (and renewable for an additional $5,400 if a 3.5 GPA is maintained in the program, for a total of approximately $10,800).

Indigenous students

who are members of Indigenous Business Education Partners (IBEP) will be considered for IBEP-specific awards, which include:

  • RBC Award in Indigenous Business Education (MBA Entrance Scholarship) – starting in 2016, valued at $2,500
  • Lisa Lewis and Ian Robertson Indigenous MBA Scholarship – starting in 2017, value TBA
